ZAMFARA STATE GOVERNMENT REASSURED ITS FIRM STAND SUPPORT IN THE FIGHT AGAINST INSECURITY.
This was announced by the State Acting Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad (Jarman Gusau) while addressing representatives of Zurmi and Maru Local Government areas shortly after he hosted them to breaking the fast at sunset at his 3,,, on the 23rd Day of Ramadan, 1443 AH.
According to the Acting Governor, the attention of the present administration led by His Excellency Bello Muhammad Matawalle focuses with determination on how best it can address the situation with particular attention to all the threat-prone areas that are most challenging to rural communities.
Senator Hassan Gusau said the enormity of the inherited problems of insecurity were, upon the inception of the present administration, found to have been let spread out of control in the immediate past government due to its gross maladministration.
All thanks be to Allah that ni sooner than Governor Bello Matawalle assumed control of the helm of the affairs of the State that he swang into action, instituting different strategies for the protection of people's lives and properties, leaving no stone unturned. It wasn't until when a relative peace was for the first time in about nine years was restored in many parts of the State that he was able to heave a sigh of relief.
Concluding his speech, the Deputy Governor called on the people of the two areas to always be law-abiding citizens by supporting the good policies and programs of the present public oriented administration. He added that the State government is ready to provide all that is required for the continuous and sustainable development, peace and security not only in the areas but across the entire state and the country as a whole.
Speaking earlier, the Council Sole Administrator of Zurmi Local Government Council Dr. Auwal Bawa and his counterpart of Maru Hon Salisu Isah Dangulbi all thanked the State Government for its passionate people oriented policies of maintaining peace and security while at the same time putting all machineries in motion towards restoring the lost glory of Zamfara State.
On behalf of the respective communities of Zurmi and Maru, therefore, they submitted their long established resolve that, as far as their mandates are concerned, Governor Matawallen Maradun should continue with his good work, counting on the two local governments remain supportive of Matawalle Vision 2023.
